Highlights
- VHS/CRT shader hero — analog-horror case-file aesthetic
- Draggable red-string evidence corkboard, not a scroll grid
- Redacted-document reveal interactions + oscilloscope signal layer
- Case CPT for an independent paranormal research collective
Overview
Umbra Society is an analog-horror case-file theme for an independent paranormal and folklore research collective. Its central interaction is a draggable red-string evidence corkboard rather than a scroll grid — visitors move the pieces themselves, which is both the aesthetic and the actual way this material is consumed.
A VHS/CRT shader hero and an oscilloscope signal layer set the register, and redacted-document reveal interactions let text be withheld and then released as the reader works through a case. A Case post type structures an investigation archive with dates, locations and classifications. The whole thing commits to a single strong voice, which is the point of a theme like this — it is not meant to be neutral.
