Vellum breaks the studio’s recurring skeleton on purpose: a light, high-key paper palette instead of another dark theme, an editorial serif voice (Spectral) rather than a grotesque display face for the hero, and a persistent sticky-pane split screen — one pane holds a specimen image steady while the facing pane scrolls through its taxonomic notes, the way an actual herbarium sheet pairs a pressed specimen with its label.
A Specimen content type carries genus/species, collection date and habitat fields, giving botanical archives real structured taxonomy instead of a generic ‘gallery’ post type.
