Highlights
- Real-time WebGL aurora shader over a rotating 3D globe
- Globe traces the actual auroral-oval arc, not a generic starfield
- Magenta/violet reserved exclusively for the one real 3D moment
- Trip/viewing-odds content structure for polar tour operators
Overview
Boreal’s hero is a real-time WebGL aurora simulation layered over a rotating 3D globe that traces the actual auroral oval — the ring around the pole where the northern lights are visible — rather than a generic starfield backdrop. Magenta and violet are held back as reserved colours for the aurora shader and the globe’s arc alone; every other UI element runs on midnight indigo with a single vivid aurora-green accent, so the one real 3D moment stays the unmistakable signature.
Built for polar tour operators and astrophotography expedition companies selling a genuinely rare, weather-dependent experience — trip itineraries, viewing-odds context and photography-gear guidance each get their own structured content rather than a single generic ‘tours’ page.
